Double Header day with BlockHeads Jo and Sherri for blocks 23 and 24

It's going to be a quick post from me this week.  I'm barely home from a wonderfully long wedding weekend.  Such a beautiful couple and so good to spend time with family near and far. Then Poof! It's over and back to work for only a couple of days before the next booking.

I'm not travelling far, this time it is only to the Quilter's Guild of Dallas, but with it being a night meeting and 2 workshops for Friday and Saturday, the guild has booked a hotel room...Sweet!

So, with so much going on, I made the blocks Tuesday, just in time to write this post.

Here are my versions...

Thanks Jo and Sherri!

Warning...these are not quick blocks to make, but oh they are cute!

Block 23 from Jo Morton

Broken Windows 6" block

Fun to make, and made easy with triangle paper, and Bloc Loc geese ruler for the flying geese.
Go to Jo's blog, click here, to get the patterns and her tips for piecing this cutie.

Block 24 from Sherri McConnell

Kaleidoscope 6" block

Take another deep breath and press on...It is fun to make. I calmed it down with a Bella solid.
Take note, I may never utter those words, calm it down, again, as I typically like a busy look with more fabrics.
Click Here for Sherri's blog, the pattern and her tips.

Happy Sewing!!!

A few wedding pics...our niece, Cara, was stunning!
Cara and Madison. Madison had a ball as flower girl.

The happy couple, Cara and Jared

Father of the bride, Steve's brother Mark and Cara dancing.

Rachel and Madison being adorable. Rachel was a bridesmaid

And dapper Reed in his suit.

Have a great week. and be sure to visit all the other designers (links below) to see what they have made.

Until next time,
~ Betsy

  1. I have Broken Windows done. I used the 4 at a time method for the HSTs and it worked well. It went together pretty easily and I agree that it's really cute when done. Working on Kaleidoscope next.
